To submit registrations to cdateit.com for the first time you must complete the simple sign up process to obtain a username and password.

Please Note

a)        Before you submit your registration to © Date It you should have the file that you wish to have registered ready and easily available on your computer. A "BROWSE" button on one of the forms will allow you to locate your file.

b)        To make browsing in © Date It more interesting, an "image" of your registered file (or any other suitable image that represents your file) should also be made available. A "BROWSE" button on the form will allow you to locate this - your image file.

This one page "image" file must have a file extension of .bmp .jpg .gif or .png and be sized at 400 x 400 pixels.

There are available on the internet, various freeware conversion software packages to convert word processing documents for example, into images, and also to adjust image size.

The SUBMIT process in more detail:

        1)    To make a submission you will need to SIGN UP.

                    The sign up page asks for your personal details, but these will be kept private. You will then be sent an email giving you your USERNAME and PASSWORD.

        2)    Having signed up you will then need to LOG IN with your USERNAME and PASSWORD – which was sent to you in the email.

                    You will then be into your HOME PAGE. Here you will be able to

• submit your registrations (you may submit as many as you wish from here)
• view your registrations
• update your home page
• update your password

        3)    When you choose to SUBMIT REGISTRATION you will be taken to a window to make your submission. This window will ask you for

• TITLE                      - what you wish to call your submission
• FILE TYPE              - select from a drop down box of type of file
• DESCRIPTION          - your description of your submission
• URL                         - for you to link to your URL
• PRIVACY                 - YES / NO radio button. Your choice if you wish to make public your submission
• SUBMIT

        4)    After choosing SUBMIT you will then be taken to another window to BROWSE for your file to be submitted to upload and then SUBMIT

        5)    The last window confirms that your file has been uploaded, and you are given your UNIQUE DATE REFERENCE NUMBER.

• Finally, you are asked to UPLOAD an IMAGE of the file you submitted in (4) (or something that represents your file) and which will be made available for all to see when they are viewing or searching the © Date It site (see b above). If you chose earlier for the PRIVACY option then this image will be PRIVACY OPTION SELECTED and done automatically.
